I was told a little history about the cake where it was used to send secret messages( little notes enclosed inside) to the outsiders with plans to overthrow the government.

If that's to commemorate the new freedom and democracy, at least make it decent and affordable to everyone. With these type of cakes, it's meant for the rich only, which is to help the rich get richer.

Good thing I never acquire any liking to these kind of cakes otherwise, I'll be one of the victim in contributing excess wealth to those bakery shops too.

When travelling abroad (or home country) and staying in a hotel, run your shower water (taps for water) for a couple of minutes before getting in the shower.



The water taps might not have been used for a while. They are breeding grounds for bacteria. No matter where you are staying (expensive or inexpensive hotel), practice prevention. You do not know for certain when it was last used.

Running the water before you actually use it will prevent you from catching a deadly lung disease called Legionnaire’s disease.

My husband lost his grandfather to this disease.

Side Note:

As Carl Doerwald mentioned:

‘Running the shower spray would spread more aerosol particles and make it worse, I would try to run the hot water through the tap first then, if the shower is on a flexible hose, remove it and hold it close to the drain. If it is a fixed shower head I would run the hot water slowly so as not to create a spray but rather more of a drip, close the shower curtains or door and wait until it runs hot, add cold, shower as normal’

I would add, you want to run the water below 20 deg and above 45 deg if you can, that would disbalance the bacterial colonies.

The idea is not to inhale the first gush of aerosolized bacteria.

Đúng rồi, ngừa bệnh hơn trị bệnh, bỏ ra chút xíu thời gian nhưng mình nhận được là lợi ích và tốt cho sức khỏe mình nhiều lắm há anh LTP!

Tooth...Nói như Tooth, thì khi đi du lịch mà sợ motels/ hotels kiểu như T vậy thì ở chổ nào cho safe hơn đây? Ngủ bờ, ngủ bụi hay ngủ trong rừng thì càng nguy hiểm hơn!...Còn nếu có nhà của bà con họ hàng thì cũng chưa chắc được safety hơn khách sạn đâu nha em!

Prepare for your colonoscopy with these simple tips from Dr. Lynn Butterly, Director of the Colorectal Cancer Screening Program at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

Colorectal cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death in the United States -- yet it's one of the few we can prevent. Prevention and detection are the keys to beating colorectal cancer.

The colonoscopy uses a thin, flexible tube through which your doctor can detect polyps with a tiny camera, and even remove them without discomfort in a matter of seconds. Preparing as effectively as possible for a colonoscopy gives your doctor the best chance of finding even the smallest polyps.

Your doctor will prescribe you the "prep" medication that you will drink beforehand, but you will also want to have other materials on hand for the "clear liquid diet" that you'll have to be on as well.

Clear liquids include apple juice, ginger ale, Jell-O, broth or bouillon. Hard candies may even be OK as well.

You also may want to have extra toilet paper, special wipes, or magazines or books.

Drink one glass every 15 minutes or so until you feel full, then take a break to let it work through your system. Don't get discouraged as you work your way through the jug; just remember, possibly having undiscovered colorectal cancer will be harder than this preparation!

The "split prep" is another option. You would do most of your prep in the afternoon and night, then finish the prep first thing in the morning, if your endoscopy center recommends it. Remember that you have to finish the prep at least an hour and a half before your appointment.

You can flavor your prep with a colorless flavor of Crystal Light (flavor each glass, not the whole jug). We encourage you to use more than one flavor for variety's sake.

Again, your own endoscopist may have different recommendations than what we have suggested here. Check with your provider for specific instructions.
