You mentioned "share networks", I'm not sure if you meant sharing data or sharing internet connection. I'll assume you meant connecting to internet using your new pre-intergrated wireless laptop.
When I try to connect to my wireless router from any laptop for the first time, I usually will do the following: 1- open the Network Connection from the Control Panel and find my router. Sometimes I will find more than one network (router) because my neighbor also use wireless router (I named my router so it's easier to find). 2- select the network (router) and check the box to automatically connect to this router next time the laptop is started. 3- done. Hope this helps. |

well first thing first:
Do you have wireless setup at home or U are using cat 5 cable to hookup your first computer? U said U have a new laptop correct? which U just bought? If U just bought it....most likely it is wireless capable. What kind of OS is on the laptop? Like other said, U have to turn on wireless(on/off switch) or thru windows. Go to control panel and look for network connection. U can enable wireless thru it. Here is a search on MS site help on wireless setup: http://search.microsoft.com/results.aspx?mkt=en-US&form=MSHOME&setlang=en-US&q=wireless+setup&x=0&y=0 U have to state clearly what is your problem so others can help U. Best of Luck and have a merry xmas. |
